After receiving information about the incident, a police team arrived on the scene.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">An investigation was started after a panchnama was filed by the police team. Upon scanning CCTV footage and questioning some people in the area about the boy&#8217;s whereabouts, police identified the boy and took him into custody.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A couple of days ago, the boy allegedly fought with the girl&#8217;s father and was allegedly assaulted. In revenge for the assault, the boy kidnapped the girl and raped her before slitting her throat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mahatma Phule police registered a case against the boy under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses Act.
