On Sunday, a rally was held in Mehraj village in the district to protest the cases filed against Lakha Sidhana and other youths.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Among those present were Simranjit Singh Mann, president of the SAD (A) and MP for Sangrur, Sukhpal Khaira of the Congress, Amritpal Singh of the Waris Punjab De, Balkaur Singh of Sidhu Moosewala’s family, Amitoj Mann of the BKU (Krantikari), and Surjit Singh Phool of the BKU (Krantikari).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The speakers targeted the state government on the occasion. The government was being controlled by the Delhi government, they said. Their claim was that illegal cases had been filed against the youth of the state, and those who protested were labeled gangsters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He said he was advocating for the rights of people, but the government wanted to silence him. For the cancellation of “false cases” filed against youths, a 21-member committee would be formed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In response to the false charges being leveled against Lakha Sidhana, Simranjit Singh Mann explained, “I know Lakha Sidhana; he is involved in social work and has never done anything illegal.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
