Seven cities in the state are participating in the Smart Cities project. Tumakuru ranks seventh in financial progress, followed by Shivamogga (9), and Belagavi (10). Mangaluru is 31 and Hubballi-Dharwad is 28.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">So far, the Union government has released Rs 2,704 crore for the Smart Cities project, while the state has released Rs 2,900 crore.
