The Char Dham Yatra to the four famous Himalayan shrines in Uttarakhand began on May 3 with the opening of the Gangotri and Yamunotri temples. Pilgrims who are medically unfit and suffer from physical illnesses have been advised not to travel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">May 6 marked the opening of Kedarnath&#8217;s famous Shiva shrine, and May 8 marked the opening of Badrinath&#8217;s famous Shiva shrine.
