New Delhi: Cricketer Rishabh Pant was injured after he met with an accident early Friday morning. He was travelling from Delhi to Uttarakhand when his car hit a divider.

- Rishabh Pant’s Mercedes caught fire after the collision around 5.30 am.
- He got two cuts on his forehead, a ligament tear in his right knee and has also hurt his right wrist, ankle and toe. He also has abrasion injuries on his back.
- Earlier, an X-Ray of the cricketer’s leg showed the ligament injury.
- Mr Pant suffered burn injuries but his condition is not serious, police said.
- The 25-year-old said he lost control of the car as he dozed off while driving, said Ashok Kumar, Uttarakhand Director General of Police.
- Rishabh Pant was alone in the car at the time of the accident and broke a windscreen to escape.
- A chilling footage from a security camera showed the Mercedes-AMG GLE43 Coupe hitting the divider at high speed.
- Another video showed an injured Rishabh Pant moments after the crash. In the video, Pant can be seen with a bloodied face, a blanked wrapped around him.
- He is currently under observation in Max hospital in Dehradun.
- A doctor at the hospital said he suffered minor injuries and is conscious.
