BCCI announced on Sunday the squad for the upcoming three-match T20I series against South Africa. It was expected that Sanju Samson, the captain of the India A side against New Zealand A, would be named the vice-captain of the team, but BCCI changed their plans at the last moment and named Shreyas Iyer the captain. There is no satisfaction among the fans when it comes to the decision to include Sanju in the squad. The disappointment of Sanju Samson fans was expressed on Twitter.
Starting on October 6, India will face South Africa in a three-match ODI series. On October 9 and 11, Ranchi will host the second ODI, while Delhi will host the third. In addition to Shreyas Iyer, who was named to ICC’s reserve team for the Men’s T20 World Cup in Australia, Deepak Chahar and Ravi Bishnoi were also selected to play ODIs for India. Current senior players like Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, etc are playing in the three-match T20I series against South Africa and will now rest for the upcoming ODI series.

Before the ICC T20 World Cup, the Indian cricket team will attend a special preparation camp in Australia on October 6. After the T20I series against South Africa ends on October 6, the Indian team will fly to Australia for a training camp leading up to the T20 World Cup.
