A stampede breaks out at the Gymkhana ground over tickets for the India-Australia T20 match, injuring four

A stampede has injured at least 4 cricket fans gathered at Gymkhana Ground to buy tickets for the India vs Australia T20I match.
A local hospital has been contacted and all the injured have been taken there for treatment. In order to disperse the crowd, police had to resort to baton charges, according to news agency. Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium will host the match on September 25.

There were reports that the Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) decided to sell offline tickets at the Gymkhana grounds for the game, but things turned ugly as close to 30,000 people showed.

Many people have taken to social media claiming to have been standing in queue since 5 AM and the queue has grown by the time the ticket counters opened. A stampede apparently occurred as a result of the rush of people in Hyderabad following the rush of people. There were several people who fell unconscious because they did not have enough air, including women. In the melee, several police officers were also injured. There were only four counters set up for the purpose of selling tickets on the spot, so people said the arrangements were inadequate. Currently, Australia leads the series 1-0 against India. Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium will host the second T20I on Friday.
